Did You Know? The very first baseball film ever was produced and distributed by Thomas Edison and a few other scientists at the Edison Manufacturing Company. It was directed by William Heise. It was a short film and contained footage of an 1898 baseball game between the Reading Coal Heavers and the Newark Bears.
