Did You Know? The ACC consist of 15 members and was found on May 8th, 1953, with only seven universities. The ACC or Atlantic Coast Conference is one of the “Power Five” conferences that hold a contractual play into the New Year’s Six bowl games for their football team. Also, the University of Notre Dame is part of the ACC, joining in 2013, however they remain independent in the sport of football.
