As it turned out, Checkers was one of those donations. He belonged to Nixon’s daughter, and when he was mentioned, it earned a lot of sympathy for Nixon. Checkers passed away by the time Nixon got to the White House in 1970, but his memory still lives as the dog that saved the career of one of the most famous presidents in the history of the States.
