Did You Know? U.S. state capitals boast intriguing stories and distinctive characteristics that often go unnoticed. For instance, Juneau, Alaska, accessible only by boat or plane, is the only state capital in the United States not connected by road to the rest of its state. This isolation reflects the vast, untamed beauty surrounding it, offering a unique backdrop unlike any other capital.

On the other end of the spectrum, Honolulu, Hawaii, is the only state capital in the U.S. that is not located on the North American continent. It’s a tropical paradise that blends modern American culture with its rich Polynesian history, offering a unique cultural experience unlike any other capital.
