The role of pollinators in global food production

Did you know that pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat?
These tiny creatures, including bees, butterflies, birds, and bats, play a crucial role in the global food production system.
They facilitate the reproduction of over 75% of the world’s flowering plants, including more than a third of our food crops.
This means many of the fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds we enjoy daily rely on these diligent pollinators.
Without their hard work, the variety in our diets would drastically diminish, impacting global nutrition and food security.
So, the next time you enjoy a delicious apple or a handful of almonds, remember to thank the pollinators that made it possible!
