How many stripes are there on the American flag?

Did you know that the American flag has undergone 27 official changes since it was first adopted in 1777? Each version reflected the nation’s growth, with stars added to represent new states joining the Union.

The current design, featuring 50 stars and 13 stripes, was created by a high school student named Robert G. Heft in 1958. Heft’s design was initially a school project, for which he received a B- grade. However, when his design was chosen to become the official flag, his grade was subsequently raised to an A.

The question regarding hanging the flag vertically is ambiguous. The Union is hung on the right side of the flag when hung vertically. This places it on the viewers left. I got 13 out of 15 correct and missed this question due to its ambiguity.

I have taken this quiz several times, as my answers are 100% correct. Yet the results keep ahowing that I missed some of the questions. A couple of the times, the quiz abended and I was not able to complete it. Every answer said that I was correct after I clicked on it.
