The strangest inventions that never made it to market

Did you know that in the 1960s, an inventor named Hugo Gernsback designed a peculiar device called the “Isolator”?
This bizarre invention was essentially a helmet meant to help its wearer concentrate by shutting out noise and distractions.
The Isolator was made of thick, noise-canceling material and had tiny, rectangular eye slits to minimize visual distractions.
To further enhance focus, the wearer needed an oxygen tube connected to the helmet to ensure a steady air supply.
Despite its intriguing concept promising heightened attention and productivity, the Isolator never made it to market.
Its cumbersome nature and somewhat unsettling appearance likely contributed to its inability to capture widespread appeal.
However, it remains a fascinating example of how far inventors will go in the quest to improve human performance.
