Did you know? Not only is Rocky Balboa Sylvester Stallone’s most iconic role, it’s also the only one to net him an Oscar nomination. In 1977, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAs) nominated Stallone for Best Actor for his performance in Rocky. Stallone’s portrayal of Rocky Balboa earned him yet another Oscar nomination in 2016 – 39 years later – for Best Supporting Actor in the movie Creed.
