I question the “correct” answer on the question of the most consumed fruit in the world. I picked “banana” but Trivia Nut said “mango”. A quick Google search confirmed that it’s bananas, stating “When it comes to the world as a whole, though, there’s one fruit that stands above all the rest — and it doesn’t even grow on a tree! Which fruit is at the top? The banana, of course! Over 100 billion bananas are consumed worldwide each year.” Their source appears to be Wonderopolis. One bucket said “Apples are the most consumed fruit, followed by bananas”. I guess that the jury’s still out on this one.
