What is the smallest country in the world by area?

Did you know that there are several tiny, often overlooked territories known as “hidden microstates” scattered across the globe?
Despite their small size, these microstates have unique political, historical, or cultural characteristics that set them apart. For instance, the Principality of Sealand, located on a former WWII sea fort in the North Sea, claims to be the world’s smallest country.
With a total area of just 0.004 square kilometers, Sealand has its own flag, national anthem, and even passports. Although it is not officially recognized as a sovereign state by any established country, Sealand captures the imagination with its tale of independence on the high seas.
Another example is the Republic of Molossia, a micronation located in Nevada, USA. It boasts its own time zone, currency, and even a space program (albeit a modest one), demonstrating the quirky charm and inventive spirit of these microstates.
These microstates may be hidden in terms of global recognition, but they are full of fascinating stories and idiosyncrasies waiting to be discovered.
