Bungee jumping originated from a ritual in which country?

Did you know that the origins of bungee jumping can be traced back to an ancient ritual on the Pacific island of Pentecost, part of Vanuatu?

Known as “land diving,” this tradition has been practiced for centuries by the indigenous people of the island.

Participants construct tall wooden towers and dive off them with only vines tied to their ankles, a ritual believed to ensure a bountiful yam harvest.

This thrilling custom eventually inspired modern bungee jumping when New Zealander A.J. Hackett popularized the sport in the 1980s after witnessing the ritual.

Hackett’s passion for the sport led him to create the first commercial bungee jump site in 1988, on the Kawarau Bridge near Queenstown, New Zealand, merging ancient tradition with contemporary adventure.

Who writes this nonsense? Since when was Hawaii a country? Half the time it says I have the wrong answer, when I actually answered correctly.
