Did You Know? World War I helped turn the nation in favor of Prohibition. Dry advocates argued that the barley used in brewing beer could be made into bread to feed American soldiers and war-ravaged Europeans, and they did succeed in winning wartime bans on strong drinks.
Not that I think any amendment should be overturned, but this unfortunately proved an amendment can be overturned. We just need to be sure that the first 10 amendments, commonly known as the Bill of Rights, are never overturned.
